Shirley Annette Phillips
Shirley Annette Phillips passed away peacefully on Feb. 23, 2024 and was surrounded by her loving family. Shirley “Nana” was born on Jan. 25, 1936. She was a member of Glade Baptist Church and loved spending time with her family.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 27, from 9:30-11 a.m. at Ellisville Funeral Home in 1204 B Ave. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. and burial will be in Mill Creek Cemetery in Laurel.
Brother Jimmy Hood will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was preceded in death by brothers R.L. Pitts, Jim Pitts and Kenny Bates; sister Marie Sims; and granddaughter Courtney Phillips.
Shirley was blessed with a loving family and leaves behind her husband of 73 years Frank “Bo” Phillips; her cherished children Deleica (Jack) Smith, Becky (Roger) Pruitt, Alvin (Debbie) Phillips and Sherry (Ricky) Dykes; her cherished grandchildren Liz (Jim Bob) Brock, Natalie Herndon, Sunny (Dean) Jeffcoats, Kasey Sherman, Jason Dykes, Jeremy (Jackie) Philips, Hannah Buffington and Natalie ( Michael) Brand; her 15 treasured great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her brother Glen (Edna) Pitts; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Shirley was blessed with loving care that was provided by a host of talented ladies who expressed love, care and devotion on a daily basis.
Pallbearers will be Jason Dykes, Kyle Mauldin, Joe Pruitt, Justin Brownlee, Frankie Walters and Jason Holder.Honorary pallbearer will be Mitchell Craft.
