Hugh Hefner changed his life completely when he decided to start Playboy, but another person who was affected by this was his mother.

Playboy magazine was started in 1953, but it wouldn’t have been possible if Hugh Hefner’s mother hadn’t decided to ignore her husband. Over the years, the magazine managed to gain the status of a brand that several celebrities wanted to be a part of. Some people who were featured in the magazine included Kim Kardashian, Marilyn Monroe, Madonna, and many more.

Hugh Hefner’s mom made millions

Hugh was working as a cartoonist for Esquire magazine in 1952 but decided to change his life around when he was denied a $5 raise. This incident pushed him to venture out on his own. However, there were several people who doubted his capabilities.

Among them was Hugh’s father, who did not agree with the idea behind Playboy magazine. Nonetheless, Hugh got a chance to chase his dreams as he got $600 in loan and another $1000 from his mother who believed in his dreams.

Years later, Grace Caroline Hefner earned millions just by making the small decision to ignore her husband.

It included Playboy Magazine, Playboy TV, Playboy Online, and networks like Club Jenna, Spice Digital Networks, and Adult.com. In 2023, it was revealed that Playboy was relaunching with a digital version.
