BAZAAR recently asked cult designer Isabel Marant who exactly she designs for. "When I design, I do not work on a fantasy, but on reality: my aim is to dress real women in their everyday lives with clothes that have a function but also give an attitude," she explains. "As a woman of today, I know their needs and what they look for in a dress, but I also know how they feel in front of the mirror, which are their insecurities. I constantly try to solve these problems while creating pieces that express the energy of the moment."

Not long after hearing Marant's response, we saw this flawless photo of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in a dress from the Parisian designer's much-anticipated collaboration with H&M. Consider it a French and Swedish match made in heaven. What struck us about the image is that the actress-model was en route to a doctor's appointment, which so perfectly reflects Marant's quote about dressing women for their real lives—not a fantasy night out, not a one-off gala, but the everyday—if the everyday could always look so chic. At H&M prices, perhaps it can.
