The Duchess of Sussex doesn’t seem to be too close to any of her Suits co-stars anymore, after not joining them at the Golden Globes ‘reunion’. Some of them did attend Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal wedding however, and Rick Hoffman has spoken out about how there was a ‘foul smell’ in the air.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot in May 2018 with a guestlist full of celebrities, including some of the Suits cast. Millions across the globe watched the lavish royal wedding on screen that looked like a fairytale, but apparently, didn’t smell like one.

Rick, who played Louis Lift in the hit show went viral during the 2018 nuptials after a photo appeared to show a ‘disgusted face’ as he sat in St George’s Chapel. Five years later, he’s opened up about what actually was going on in his mind at the time.

“We get into the Church, I had that awful moment. If you type in my name on Google, you see my face, making that awful face,” he told the Chicks in the Office podcast.

“As time went on, I’m starting to smell something really terrible and foul, and I’m very sensitive when it comes to that,” the 53-year-old said.

He then said he started to try and cover his nose with his hand, so he could smell his coconut vanilla moisturizer, before asking, “How can I help getting away from this goofy face?”

Hoffman, who says he’s “very particular with people’s hygiene,” said the other Suits stars couldn’t smell the stench which was so strong to him, causing the viral expression.

In fact, it was actually Meghan who knew the most about Hoffman’s “issues with hygiene” and used to joke about it all the time.

“She sat you next to the stinky people,” the hosts joked.

Although the whole cast attended the royal wedding, almost six years later and the relationship seems to have broken down, as they claim to have “no communication.”

Patrick J. Adams, whose character Michael Ross was in a relationship with Meghan’s Rachel Zane, made the confession earlier this month.

“Have you spoken to Meghan Markle recently?” he and fellow Suits star Gabriel Macht, who played Harvey Spencer were asked by The Hollywood Reporter.

“Zero. No, no communication,” he said before jokingly pretending to get a call. It comes four years after he told the Radio Times he was “too intimidated” to phone her.

“Quite frankly, I think I’m intimidated. I have no doubt I could pick up the phone and call her at any moment, but I don’t know what I would say,” the 42-year-old revealed.
